Kuchh rang pyar ke aise bhi

mothers day special ----The mother figure in my life

This Mother’s Day, let’s acknowledge people who’ve played the ‘mother figure’ in our lives.
Featuring Actor Arjun Mathur and others, the video has been conceptualized and produced by The Glitch.

Going beyond the literal definition of a mother and focusing on the meaning and the emotion attached to that word. This video celebrates those figures who have showed the unconditional love and care that any mother would give to a child, the support that you get when everything seems muddled. While most of us will think of their own mother who symbolizes all of the above things, you find people showing the same care apart from your “biological” mother.

The video ‘#LikeAMotherby The Glitch featuring Actor Arjun Mathur and others, explores the broader aspect of being a mother by celebrating motherhood on this mother’s day.

‘#LikeAMother’ celebrates the feeling of motherhood and pays a tribute to all those in our lives who have been no less than a mother in our lives. From their grandparents, fathers, care-takers, aunts, step-mothers or even a friend, this video shares the stories of different people from all walks of life, acknowledging that one person who has played the role of a mother in their lives, even when they didn’t had to.

The above is the press release issued by " The Glitch" to celebrate mothers day  and it is such a nice concept because our biological mothers do play such an important  role in our lives that the word mother has become synonym with love , affection , concern and  support ---but have we noticed that there are people who give us equal love support, and affection as our biological mothers even though it is not required of them and here is my story of such a personality in my life .

It was my maternal grandfather who loved me and cared for me more than any mother could or would . My father was in a transferable job which took him to places far and wide in the remotest of jungles and smallest of villages so my parents decided to put me in the care of my maternal grandparents . Who agreed to take up the responsibility with a smile .

Whereas my grandmother shouldered the responsibility of  my physical needs food clothes etc it was my grandfather who took upon himself to provide me with emotional  support and look after my studies and grooming in all aspects of life . He would take me for walks
which were actually my lessons in nature rambles , back home he would make me do rope skipping which took care of my physical  health . Evenings saw me sitting down with him at the study table doing my home work and getting ready for the class the next day and then after dinner I would sit with him in the verandah where he would tell me stories from moral science books or from the Ramayana and then I would scamper to bed with him behind me ready to tuck the ends of my mosquito net as soon as I settled into the bed . He was well liked by the teachers and nuns in the convent school  I attended because he would follow my progress regularly and visit the teachers for feedback .

My school bag was in his supervision he would sharpen my pencils ,keep my books  and later on  saw to it that I  did all that with accuracy myself , He taught me everything how to lead a disciplined and responsible life

I know that my biological parents would not have been able to give me the love and affection and such values as my grandfather ( nana ji )  not that they would have been negligent but they had other duties to perform  related to  their job and other family responsibilities . What ever be the reason I consider my self lucky to have been brought up by my grandparents who took such pains for my good . And thank you Nanaji for showering upon me love and care just like any mother would do .

& Pictures brings Kiddies Express home ( movies specially for kids )

Oh its summer vacations once again and God what a drain on our energy levels trying to keep the kids occupied I get up early and after coaxing them to gobble up their break fast pack them into the car and carry them over to the club ---where  groups of harried mothers still sleepy and  already tired (its only 9 am) together with their over active kids are waiting for the various coaches who arrive one by one and take charge of the respective students,
Activities over the kids are carried back home , given a bath fed with their favourite dishes and the ordeal begins again ---how to keep them indoors and occupied so that we moms get some time to rest .  Indoor games like  chess, carrom etc are passe these days play station games !!! make a lot of noise  the kids suggest they will close their rooms BUT then this is not acceptable to me

So what now ? Here comes the saviour a press release by & pictures which says

Presents

As George R.R. Martin says, “Summer will end soon enough, and childhood as well.”

Are you as excited as us since the summers are finally here?  Research shows that kids are stressed during school with their academics, homework, the social scene, and all the other activities that keep them busy. They need time to chill and relax and summer holidays are usually packed with plenty of fun with family and friends and outdoor activities. And, after exciting picnics on beaches and resorts, playing with friends, swimming in the pool, or otherwise playing cricket and getting exercise, most kids get indoors and look forward to relaxing with their favourite TV shows.

&pictures – India’s premium mass Hindi movie channel - presents an opportunity of a perfect afternoon for kids and ensure that they watch some blockbusters with a subtle life lesson shared in the most entertaining manner. It’s latest summer movie festival, ‘Kiddies Express’, takes audiences on a fun-filled ride with entertaining global successes along with a lot of learning. Starting from Monday, 9th May, it will air daily at 12 noon upto Friday, 13th May.

Get aboard the &pictures ‘Kiddies Express’ that will present the following five movies that will transport your kids into a land of imagination:-

Kung Fu Panda
In the Valley of Peace, Po the Panda, finds himself chosen as the Dragon Warrior despite the fact that he is obese and a complete novice at martial arts. The movie is directed by John Stevenson and Mark Osborne and stars the voices of veteran Hollywood talent like Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Ian McShane, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross, Randall Duk Kim, James Hong, and Jackie Chan.

An excerpt from the film:

Po: “Maybe I should just quit and go back to making noodles.”
Oogway: “Quit, don't quit... Noodles, don't noodles... You are too concerned about what was and what will be. There is a saying: yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.”

Madagascar

This film showcases the story of four animals who have spent their lives in blissful captivity in Manhattan’s Central Park Zoo. Chris Rock voices Marty, a jaded zebra is ready for a change after ten years of comfortable captivity at the Zoo. He flees for the green fields of Connecticut, prompting a rescue mission by his best friends: the Zoo's star attraction Alex the lion (Ben Stiller), a bossy hippo named Gloria (Jada Pinkett Smith), and the clumsy, hypochondriac giraffe Melman (David Schwimmer). They are unexpectedly shipped back to Africa and end up getting shipwrecked on the island of Madagascar.

The film teaches us to rejoice everything that life throws our way just as like Kurt Vonnegut said, “Enjoy the little things in life cause one day you’ll look back and realise that they were the big things!”

Stuart Little 2

With subtle humor, loveable characters, a great script by Bruce Joel Rubin (Academy Award-winner, “Ghost”), Stuart Little 2 is one of the best family films of the summer.
The story begins with Stuart’s brother, George (Jonathan Lipnicki has given his voice) having found a new friend to play with, leaving Stuart (brilliantly voiced by Michael J. Fox) feeling left out. His mother Mrs. Little (Geena Davis’ voice) is overprotective of her minuscule younger son after he narrowly escapes an injury in a soccer game. His father (voice over by Hugh Laurie) sympathizes, but reminds Stuart of an old family adage, “Always look for the silver lining in the cloud.  The silver lining appears when Stuart rescues a homeless bird named Margelo (voiced by Melanie Griffith) from the sinister Falcon. They become friends and all is well until Margelo disappears one night. Stuart is convinced that Falcon is responsible and ventures out with the family cat Snowbell (voiced by Nathan Lane) to rescue her. Stuart Little 2 is a must-watch film for its characters, dialogue, music, and animation and fun moments. Stuart Little is courageous and humble while Snowbell is hilarious.

This visually impressive film provides wholesome entertainment for kids with Stuart enlightening us with some serious friendship goals like determination, trust, respect, and acceptance.

Jumanji

Based on a gorgeous picture book story of the same name by Chris Van Allsberg, Jumanji takes us through a beautiful magical adventure and makes it into a thrilling ride that defies everything.  The excellent combination of adventure and comedy are the big attractions. A timeless adventure film, Jumanji is about two kids who play a magical board game. While playing it, they release an adult trapped in the game. They encounter various dangers which will come to an end only when the game is completed. The film was written by Greg Taylor, Jonathan Hensleigh and Jim Strain. It stars Robin Williams, Kirsten Dunst, David Alan Grier, Bonnie Hunt, Jonathan Hyde and BebeNeuwirth.

Mr. Go

A crisp narrative and some truly amazing technical expertise combine to make Mr Go one of the best family films with big laughs, big emotion and even bigger thrills. Its engaging plot offers a thoroughly enjoyable experience for all ages. It is based on the classic 1980s comic '7th Baseball Club', the titular character refers to a 285 kg circus gorilla who is the first to be recruited by a savvy baseball agent to join the professional
Korean Baseball League.  Setting the stage for the gorilla Ling Ling's journey to Korea is the Great Sichuan Earthquake in 2008, which causes the death of 15- year old Wei Wei's (Jiao Xu) grandfather and leaves her in charge of his circus with a huge debt over their heads. As debtors harass her, Wei Wei is left hassled on how to save the circus and the forty other orphans who stay under its roof. And so, when the wily Sung (Korean actor Sung Dong-il) comes in to assist, she readily accepts his offer to transform Ling Ling into a baseball star. Dreaming of success, Weiwei and Ling Ling go to South Korea and Ling Ling quickly becomes a superstar in the baseball league.
What makes it a must-see film is that it makes you smile with its heartwarming, poignant and inspirational story.

Ginger cups --Innovative Marketing Platform

Ginger Cups issued  a press release on April 29th 2016  .

I have been doing my own little bit of research about this product and have found that they  have taken advertising to the streets --In a way this street advertising is like Guerilla Marketing. They come . they are seen and they conquer The slogans and matter written on the cups prompt the user to read the material and get hooked by it thus enticing them to give  the product a try . This is also an innovative method to take the product to a vast audience of all classes and creeds ---the classes and the masses ---and you never know who will need it and use it .

Ginger Cups have been working for ---

Flashdoor---where they supplied teacups to tea vendors and when they discovered that a particular  tea vendor had a specially large clientele only due to his style of service viz "service with a smile" every cup he served was accompanied with a smile they decided to offer him  6oo cups everyday as a token for his service and  talented entrepreneurship

Yumist --- where they advertised for Home Like food ordered by using an App'

Wooplr---they have even advertised for Wooplr App. the fashion people Thus tempting the young er generation and also the fashion conscious to download the app

Super Profs ----which provides Education services like private coaching etc in the form of video lectures thus helping many students in their academical pursuit

This Paper cup advertising is a really creative and innovative style to advertise your product as it has a wide clientele and many a times we do find people gazing at their tea cups long after they have finished the drink inside and when the cup has attractive material like Ginger Cup write ups it is bound to register with the viewer .

Given below is the literature of their Press release

True goes the adage, “Old is gold”. No matter how far we have come, how smart we have become, the things from where we have evolved will remain the mainstay of our lives. For instance, reading a book will never go out of style. We are not sure about an e-book though! Olden times bear the essence of life. No denying trends are impactful but then they carry an ephemeral impact. Calm down! It is not a philosophy class. It is rather an opportunity to talk about a marketing strategy that bears the essence a modern man misses.

Equipped with high-tech gadgets, today’s virtual world is on the top of popularity and convenience quotient. Every possible desire can be fulfilled online. While online marketers are playing it hard with their tactics, there is this company GingerCup which still sticks to offline marketing and busts the idea of an ad getting unnoticed. Essentially, GingerCup optimizes two interesting offline marketing platforms. So, what do they do?

1.       Paper Cup Advertising – GingerCup’s marketing strategy entails bringing a brand into the limelight through exquisitely designed printed paper cups used for tea/coffee. The strategically designed quality paper cups feature the client’s logo, website address, offer code, contact details, etc. upon them. After getting designed, they are then printed and distributed for free where they are likely to come in contact with targeted audience. The expert team at GingerCup first decides the right set of people to target, the quantum of cups to be distributed, and the places where the cups are to be distributed. A purposefully designed quality tea cup gets the brand noticed and spoken about. People seem to enjoy every sip of their kick-start drink (tea /coffee) and thus spend ample to have it. So, while having it, they see an alluring ad right in their hand. Resultantly, it is not only welcomed but also shared further through word of mouth.

2.      Flyers – Not all the flyers in the world are distributed with a strategy. GingerCup does it purposefully. It is beyond someone’s imagination how the booming online world can be a boon for an offline marketing campaign. Right from shopping clothes to give them for laundry, from buying books to ordering a pizza, everything is done online. We know everything which is bought has to get delivered at a customer’s place. GingerCup prints enticingly designed flyers that speak about their clients’ brand / product / service and all the essential information the targeted audience would require knowing about them. Having tied up with the delivery providers, Ginger Cup gets the flyers delivered at a place along with the products being ordered online. In a fit of excitement to open a newly bought item, people notice what comes along with it. It then makes it certain for the flyer to get read and create an impact about the advertised brand on the reader’s mind.

Carrying a distinctive strategic approach, these marketing methods are easy on the pocket and fertile enough to breed the desired level of brand recognition for an advertiser. Therefore, when there is every possibility of an online ad getting scrolled down, GingerCup’s potential ad weapons are hard to ignore. Indeed, it is something here to stay.
